Seriously Awesome Burgers

If you haven’t tried Fork n Cork, I promise you are missing out.  You may remember another of my posts about it.  In case you missed it, you can find it here.

For me to admit that I love a burger is kind of a big deal.  To really get my point across, I’ll be honest and say that I’m not really a burger/sandwich person.  There, I said it. *GASP*

If you read My Story, you’ll recall that my Daddy owns a restaurant.  He does old fashioned burgers and hot dogs and I’m quite partial to them.  I’ve never truly been a fan of the “fancy” burger.  Until Fork n Cork flipped my world upside down with their creativity and deliciousness.

I can’t tell you how many photos I have on my phone of Fork n Cork burgers.  I could completely  flood this blogroll with nothing but Fork n Cork reviews, but I’m not going to do that because I’m hoping you’ll take my word for it.  However, what I will say is that their burgers are phenomenal!

Each week (I believe on Thursdays) they introduce a new burger special of the week.  Most recently, I had the joyous pleasure of feasting upon the “Italian Stallion.”  A beef patty topped with salami and pepperoni then smothered with peppadew Havarti and provolone cheeses, homemade olive and pepper relish, and finished off with a tomato and spring mix greens.  This particular day I was watching my carb intake, so I chose no-bun and a side salad with ranch.  Never fear…the buns ARE good!  AND, they have a gluten free option!

Hubs had the crispy chicken sandwich and it is a solid option as well.  A crispy fried chicken breast topped with Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and stout mustard.  He chose onion rings as his side dish.  You know I stole a few!  This is a staple menu item and will not disappoint!

If you like bloody marys, I recommend the Cucumber Jalapeno.  They make the mix in house and it is a wonderful mix of clean, crisp, and spice.  It is typically served with a skewer of olives (I ate mine in excitement before snapping a picture).  This may sound crazy, but the bartender recommended that I add Bacon Hot Sauce to my drink to step it up a notch.  It sounds insane, I know.  BUT, it gives it the extra flavor and kick to make it over the top! For real though, you can’t go wrong with bacon anything! I personally think it is the best bloody mary in town!

Fork n Cork is a go-to for us 😉
